Contact A Fathers Hope

Reach us by phone, email, or the form on this page. Tell us your county and what you are dealing with, and we will point you to the program, resource, or agency that handles it. You do not need to have your situation sorted out to get in touch.

How to reach us

Call or email us with your question. Messages are read in the order they arrive, so the sooner you write, the sooner a person replies.

If you or a child is in immediate danger, call 911 instead of using this page.

What to include in your message

Three things help us answer faster. Write them in the form, or in your email if you would rather not use the form.

  • Your county

California fatherhood support is split across public health, child support, and nonprofits, so knowing your county matters.

  • The system your question belongs to

Custody, child support, parenting support, or workforce. If you do not know, leave it blank and describe the situation in your own words.

  • Whether a court date is coming up

Say so in the first sentence. Time-sensitive questions get read first, and a court date changes which resource fits.

Asking about a program? Tell us whether you prefer a group, one-on-one support, or a legal consultation. Writing on behalf of an organization? Tell us what you provide and who you serve.

We use your message to answer your question and nothing else. Read the Co-Parenting & Family Court Guide and the Cookie Policy for how we handle information.

Our address

A Fathers Hope is based at 4125 S Leimert Blvd, Unit 1, Los Angeles, CA 90008, USA. We are a nonprofit public benefit corporation registered in California, and our registered agent is Andrew Croft.

If you need to verify the organization for a grant, partnership, or referral, use our entity document number B20250291541 and the address above. Nothing on this page is legal advice; a registered agent is the person a state office contacts about official filings, not a lawyer acting for you.

About A Fathers Hope

Who is writing, and what happens next

For fathers

Looking for a program

We will point you to the program that fits, whether it is ours or a county or community program nearby. If you are not sure whether you qualify, ask. Many programs serve father-figures and fathers without formal custody, and eligibility rules differ by county.

Tell us your county first. Los Angeles, Alameda, and the Central Valley counties each run fatherhood work through different offices, so the same question can land in three different places.

For partners

Organizations and agencies

If you represent a county agency, nonprofit, legal clinic, or workforce program, contact us about referrals and collaboration. Tell us what services you offer, your service area, and how fathers reach you.

We also want to know about gaps, because that is how the Resources page stays useful to the next father who reads it.

Response times

We are a small California nonprofit, and we answer messages in the order they arrive. If your question is time-sensitive, say so in the subject line or the first sentence.

For legal questions, we can point you to clinics that offer consultations on co-parenting, child custody, and family-court processes, but we cannot give legal advice ourselves.

Questions fathers ask before writing

Two answers cover most of what comes in. If your question is not here, send it anyway — the form is open to anything fatherhood-related.

Can I get legal advice from A Fathers Hope?

No. We are not a law firm and we do not give legal advice. We can point you to programs that offer legal consultations on co-parenting, child custody, and family-court processes, such as Dads Evoking Change in Oakland.

How do I verify that A Fathers Hope is a registered nonprofit?

We are a nonprofit public benefit corporation registered in California, USA. Our registered agent is Andrew Croft, our entity document number is B20250291541, and our registered address is 4125 S Leimert Blvd, Unit 1, Los Angeles, CA 90008.

I do not have custody. Is it still worth writing?

Yes. Many California fatherhood programs serve father-figures and fathers without formal custody, and eligibility rules differ by county. Write a sentence about your situation and we will tell you which door to try, or say plainly that we do not know.

Can I visit the office without an appointment?

The Leimert Blvd address is our registered office and where mail and official filings reach us. Call or email first so someone is there to meet you and so we can have the right resource notes ready when you arrive.

Write a few lines about your county and what you are dealing with. If we are not the right organization for your question, we will say so and point you toward one that is.
